Letter From A Proud Grandparent - November 2010

Dear Mrs. D’Arcy,Staff,Students,

Thank you all for another inspiring Prize Giving.

This year you surpassed all previous evenings that we have been privileged to attend.

It was extra special for us because it was ‘At Home’.   Home is where your should feel safe and cared for whatever your needs  and encouraged to realise your dreams, and to our family Ladybridge High has  grown to mean exactly that -  A home for all to share wherever in this world you have come from, you are cared for and encouraged to learn and grow.

What a beautifully decorated hall welcomed us, with art work to admire, flags students represented proudly displayed and photographs to show your progress and adventures.   The refreshments served with the personal touch by polite students.   It was such a friendly atmosphere with staff chatting with families, give praise, sharing a smile and hugs if needed, it was a splendid evening.

Lastly but most importantly what wonderful results you all must be proud of what has been achieved in this school year.

Words fail us when we try to express our personal gratitude towards Ladybridge High, you and your staff have helped us witness a miracle (I don’t use this word lightly).   We have watched one of our special grandsons grow from a quiet struggling lovely boy to become with your guidance a young man grown in confidence and knowledge and loving every minute.   This confidence in himself and his ability to learn is something we could only dream of but now thanks to all of you it’s wonderful to see him enjoying the journey of becoming a man who is comfortable within himself.

For all this we humbly thank you and your dedicated staff – we only wish you had a 6th Form!

May you continue to flourish in our town.

A letter from the grandparent of a Year 11 leaver 2011.

My Grandson is now at college studying Physics, Biology, Psychology, Maths and English Literature. Two weeks ago along with two of his friends we went by coach to London to watch Arsenal v Bolton apart from the result it was a grand day out.

While it was a long tiring day, my abiding memory is of three articulate, intelligent, well behaved young lads, true sons of Ladybridge anyone would be proud of. I know I was.

Thanks a million for all of the help and guidance you and all of your staff have given to my Grandson over the past 5 years and for all of the patience that has been shown to the both of us.

Yours faithfully

A proud Grandfather

Dear Mrs D’Arcy

Please accept my thanks and my appreciation for the way both your staff and yourself have taught and treated my grandson over the past four and a half years.

He has been disciplined when needed and coaxed when needed. He has been turned into a well education and what I feel is a well rounded young man.

I intend to thank personally each and every one of his teachers who have done so much and given so much of their own free time to help not just Calvin but many of his friends.

With very best wishes,
